Pastoral Council

The Pastoral Council is the central planning body of the Parish. It assists the pastor in fulfillment of the Parish's mission. It meets each month except for the months of Advent and Lent. Ideas generated by the parishioners as well as from other of the support and outreach ministries and determines the timing and the best way to present these ideas to the Parish. It is a 6 member council, each member serving two years, with two new members selected by the power of the Holy Spirit at a Sunday Mass during the Easter Season.

The Pastoral Council is so important as it is an idea think tank to make activities of spirituality and hospitality and education a reality. It also is involved in long range planning for the Parish so the Parish continues to be a vital working entity for the People of God. Are you interested in serving?

Administrative Council

The purpose of the Administrative Council of Sacred Heart Parish is to manage the temporal affairs of the Parish and to advise the Pastor and the Pastoral Council on the administration of the Parish. This Council is appointed by the Pastor who represent different skill sets especially in the areas of property maintenance, finance, and long range planning. The Council representative can serve as long as he/she is willing.
